She began her career working in law enforcement after earning her undergraduate degree in criminal justice in 2001. For nearly two decades, Kristy worked as a law enforcement officer and instructor working for Arkansas community corrections and US probation. During this time, she earned her MS in community counseling at John Brown University, graduating in 2013. She's currently working toward a PhD in counselor education and supervision. Kristy has the opportunity every day to develop her skills as an educator and supervisor, working with our interns and as an adjunct professor at John Brown University. She can’t wait to continue putting her education and experience to work helping the leaders of tomorrow.

In her therapy and counseling sessions, Kristy utilizes evidence-based practices, specifically reality therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing, to treat a variety of presenting concerns, including domestic violence, substance abuse and addictions, co-occurring disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, trauma, pornography addiction, and psychotic disorders. Kristy has completed training in emotionally focused therapy and Brainspotting. If any of these concerns sound applicable to your current situation, call our team to find out about scheduling a consultation with Kristy.
